What is SMS?

The Safety Management System, or SMS, is a system that aims to organize actions that will lead the company to reach expected levels of Operational Safety.

Mill Safety objectives are:

Promote continuous improvement in the effectiveness of the SMS;
Ensure safety and effectiveness of actions to prevent accidents and incidents, fulfilling customer expectations;
Develop actions relating to the adequate training of its professionals, as well as encouraging harmony and satisfaction in the working environment;
Improve methods used to carry out the work, seeking to make the service more effective, while complying with the applicable requirements and standards;
Provide a quality service in a reliable, accessible, safe and timely manner in accordance with customer needs and applicable regulatory and legal requirements.

The final objective is to promote reduction of number of occurrences in national context and to eliminate or mitigate risk or danger situations that may result in an aeronautical incident or accident.

As a consequence, we will spare no efforts for the faithful fulfillment of all the recommendations and norms of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the Aeronautic Command (COMAER) regarding Operational Safety.

Policies and Goals of Operational Safety

MILL TÁXI AÉREO LTDA Operational Safety Policy and goals are based on the responsibility and commitment of all company employees. The company follows requirements regarding the training of personnel engaged in its activities, in order to maintain compliance with the requirements of relevant regulations (RBHA/RBAC).

The Company's operational procedures (Training, Maintenance, Operational Safety) are approved by ANAC and submitted to internal approval, and are frequently analyzed and revised if necessary.

Thus, the Company sets procedures according to this, with documentation that will support the Company's management system, which will be implanted in phases. All data obtained from the operational routine is focused on the operational safety sector, analyzed, and supplied to the company's database.

Special focus must be given to records of hazards, analyses, and evaluations of risks associated with each, as well as existing and additional defense measures (technology, training, and regulation) associated with maintaining activities following ALoSP (acceptable level of safety performance).

A database will be maintained in Company's management system for all documentation produced. This procedure aims to enable tracing from the origin of the process (hazard identification and risk mitigation) to the result of the evaluation.

The efficient management of MILL TÁXI AÉREO LTDA Operational Safety is based on the following principles:

Impersonality for decision-making about Operational Safety, always prioritizing improvement of the Operational Safety level over conflicting production goals.

Unacceptability of behaviors or acts that represent a violation of the internal rules of Operational Safety, regulations of the civil aviation authority and other relevant legislation.

The proactive identification of latent conditions that may compromise Operational Safety performance.

Reducing operational risk as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP).

Participation of all collaborators to strengthen an Operational Safety culture.

Focus on continuous improvement of the company's Operational Safety performance.

Encouraging and valuing voluntary reporting to identify dangers to operations, ensuring preservation of report sources, non-punishment of reporters, and establishment of a fair culture in company.

Management of risks associated with operations in a structured and continuous pattern, using reactive, proactive and predictive approaches, identifying dangers, considering complexity of operations.

To prioritize the allocation of resources (human, material, and financial) in a balanced way within the actions to achieve the production and protection objectives (Operational Safety Management).
